Meet The Host
Mario Del Grosso
Mario Del Grosso will be your specialist facilitator for this journey, incorporating art, architecture, food, wine, and a total immersion in his beloved Italian culture.
Mario is a student of ‘Art History’ and returns back to his cultural home of Italy on a regular basis to specialise in the Classics, Renaissance, Baroque, and contemporary art. Whilst studying, he became a fully qualified guide at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), guiding during many blockbuster exhibitions. Mario has also completed 5 years of study in art history at the University of Melbourne.
As a student of art history he has spent many years making art accessible to the public with his passionate and engaging manner.
Mario recently returned from completing two Internships at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art in Rivoli/Torino. The Castello di Rivoli became Italy’s first contemporary art museum when it opened in 1984.
This itinerary has been designed specifically by Mario and he is using his personal contacts to enable the group a level of access few other tours would enjoy.
